Meet The Team

BRITTANY
Owner
Brittany is the owner and heart behind Timber Grove Equestrian Center. A lifelong horsewoman, she returned to the barn after college, marriage, and starting a family—what began as “a couple horses for the kids” quickly grew into the full vision of Timber Grove.

Today, Brittany balances life with her supportive husband, their six amazing kids, and a lively mix of horses, sheep, mini Highland cows, dogs, cats, and chickens. Her passion for creating a thoughtful, family-friendly equestrian community is felt in every corner of the barn.

Courtney

Courtney is a lifelong equestrian with an extensive background in hunter/jumper riding, training, and instruction. She previously owned and operated Insight Farm from 2004–2020 and has spent years working alongside top professionals, developing a well-rounded and thoughtful approach to horsemanship and competitive program development.

Throughout her career, Courtney has produced year-end champions and guided riders to qualify for prestigious competitions including Pony Finals and Junior Hunter Finals. She is passionate about developing confident, competitive riders through strong fundamentals on the flat, intentional progression over fences, and meaningful horse-and-rider partnerships.

As a mom of three, Courtney brings a patient, structured, and family-centered approach to her program. Her discipline and commitment extend beyond the barn—having completed two Ironman races and the Boston Marathon—values she instills in every rider she coaches.

JENA
Instructor
Jena has been passionate about horses since she first began riding at age seven. Specializing in hunter, jumper, and equitation, she brings both discipline and heart to the arena. A proud wife and mom of two, Jena balances family life with caring for her four horses and ponies.

Her favorite motto, “Prior planning prevents poor performance,” guides her thoughtful approach to training and competition, while her life philosophy—“People will never forget how you made them feel”—shapes the way she connects with her students, family, and community.

CLARE
Trainer
Clare is a lifelong equestrian who can always be found near an animal. She grew up riding in Maryland, primarily competing in eventing. Her training program has a strong focus on correct fundamentals and building skills, but also includes careful attention to a horse's overall health (diet, grooming, tack fit, strength and fitness, and collaboration with vets and farriers).
Her training is primarily in dressage and jumping, but she enjoys the variety of disciplines she has been able to experience in Texas. She personally finds the most rewarding experiences to come from developing young horses and finding the root cause of problematic behaviors and working with owners to address them.
