At Timber Grove, learning goes beyond the saddle. From horsemanship classes to seasonal camps, we offer hands-on, confidence-building experiences that make learning with horses fun, meaningful, and memorable. We also encourage students to grow through competition, supporting local schooling shows, the GHHJA and USEF circuits, and our IEA team—creating opportunities for riders of all levels to learn, compete, and thrive.
horsemanship classes
Our horsemanship classes are a great first step for anyone new to horses. Open to ages 6 and up, these one-time, hands-on classes teach the basics of horse care and safety—no riding required. It’s the perfect way to build confidence before starting weekly lessons.
camps
Summer camps offer an unforgettable, hands-on experience for kids ages 6–14—no experience necessary.
Each week is packed with daily riding, horse care, water games, and themed activities.
Our camps are more than a fun week at the barn—kids leave with new skills, new friends, and a deeper connection to horses in an environment that’s safe, encouraging, and full of heart.
Opportunities to Compete
At Timber Grove, competition is an extension of learning. We host two in-house shows each year to give students a supportive space to showcase their skills, while also encouraging growth through local schooling shows, the GHHJA and USEF circuits, and our IEA team.
